The virtue of La elaha Ela Allah (No Deity but Allah)

It was narrated under the authority of Abou Horaira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: “I asked: Oh Messenger of Allah, who is the happiest person for gaining your intercession on the day of resurrection?

The Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) replied: I thought Abou Horaira that no one is more careful than you to ask me about this hadeeth due to the major concern you demonstrate regarding hadeeth:

The happiest person for gaining my intercession on the day of resurrection one who sincerely said La Elaha Ela Allah from the bottom of his heart”.

(reported by Bukhari).

It was also narrated under the authority of Obada Ibn Alsamet (may Allah be pleased with him) that Prophet Mohamed (PAPBUH) said:”

One who testifies that La Elaha Ela Allah la shareek lahu (No Deity but Allah with no associations or partners), wa ana Mohamadan a`abduhu wa rasouluh (His servant and Messenger), and Eissa is His servant,

Messenger and word that He bestowed on Mariam (Eissa a`abullah wa rasouluh) from His spirit, heaven is true, hell is true, shall be destined to heaven in spite of his deeds” (reported by Bukhari and Muslim).

N.B: The last sentence saying in spite of his deeds does not imply though that Muslims bad deeds will not be paid for.

No a Muslim shall first pay for the bad deeds, then move to heaven. In other words, Muslims shall not remain in hell eternally.

2nd Advise:

General advise about monotheism:

It was narrated under the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: One day I was walking behind the Prophet (PAPBUH) when he said:” Oh you boy, would you like me to give you an advise: Observe Allah, He shall protect you, observe Allah, and you will find Him on your side.

If you need something, ask Allah, if you need support, seek support from Allah.

Be informed that in case the whole nation gathered to provide you benefit, they may never do so except with something that Allah fated you for, and if they gathered to harm you with something, they may never do so except with something that Allah fated you for. Pens are off and papers are dry” (reported by Termidhi).

In another narration the text is:” Observe Allah and you will find Him before you, remember Allah during times of welfare, He will remember you during hard times, rest assured that whatever did not reach you would have never harm you and whatever harmed you would have never miss you.

Be informed that victory comes with patience, relief is associated with suffering and that hardship is coupled with easiness” .

3rd Advice:

Virtue of seeking knowledge:

It was narrated under the authority of Qubaisa Ibn Al Makhazek (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I went to see the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) and he asked me: What brought you Qubaisa? I said: I grew old and my bones became weak.

I came for you to teach me of what Allah will allow me to benefit.

He said: Then throughout your way coming in, you did not pass by a stone, tree, or dust except that it asks Allah to forgive you.

Qubaisa after you perform Fajr prayer, say Sobhan Allah wa behamdeh three times.

You will be protected against blindness, leprosy, and paralysis. Oh Qubaisa say: Allahum ini as`aluk memma ae`andek, wa afed a`alaia men fadlek, wanshur a`alaia men rahmatek wanzel al`ay men baraketk (This supplication translates as: Oh Allah I ask you of what you have, bestow on me from your graciousness, spread on me of your mercy, and send down on me of your blessing” (reported by Ahmed).

This noble advice indicates the high virtue of seeking knowledge.

Abi Al Darda`a (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH) say:

One who takes a course to seek knowledge, Allah shall facilitate for him a path to heavens (Jannah), angels put their wings down in respect to the knowledge seeker indicating satisfaction about his effort, creatures of skies and earth even whales in the water supplicate for forgiveness of a scholar (say astaghfer Allah for him).

The rank of a scholar among other servants is similar to the rank of moon among other planets and that scholars are heirs of prophets for Prophets did not leave behind a dinar or dirham but only knowledge, so one who takes it is well gifted” (reported by Abou Daoud).

Also Safwan Ibn Assal Almorady (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the mosque while the Messenger of Allah was leaning down on a red cloth, I said:

Oh Messenger of Allah I came seeking knowledge, the Prophet (PAPBUH) replied saying welcome to the knowledge seeker whom angles surround with their wings then they mount over each other until they reach the lower sky indicating their love to what he is seeking” (reported by Ahmed and Tabary).
